My Teaching Phyloshopy

Many of people have different description about teacher. Most of them think that teacher is a person who give or share their knowledge to another people or students. And there are also many of metaphor about teacher. In my mind, metaphor of teacher is like heart of life. I think it is very simple. The body is a student and heart is a teacher; because, heart will be pumping blood in the body. The blood it’s like the knowledge and if the heart does not pump, it will be died. So, like a teacher who gives knowledge to students with continued and pumping the students until they could reach their dream.

Being a teacher is also make the students understand with that they learn, but actually is not easy as they look. A good teacher is not only share about their knowledge yet they should being a friend, good attitude and give a moral lesson to students.

First of all being a good teacher is like a friend for them. Being a good listener make them feel noticed and respectful. In addition, make a good environment for student. With create good environment, I think they will feel comfort first and make them enjoy when they study. But, besides that teacher should keep the position as a leader and make them also respect with the teacher.

Second thing is good attitude. I remembered Javanese quote “Guru: Digugu lan ditiru” its means that a teacher should have a good attitude and it will be a role model for students. For example is simple attitude like smile and greetings. Not like when I was in Elementary school, the teacher had been smoking in a class and only gave many assignments with little bit explanation. It also happened in senior high school. The teacher gave little bit explanation then gave us an assignment while he played with his cellphone.

In addition, being a good teacher should give them a moral lesson too. A teacher is second parents at school. Giving moral lesson will form them to be a good character too. Like honesty, confident, and persistence.

All in all, I think being a good teacher not only about the skill to share knowledge but a teacher should be a role model and keep motivate students to be a good person and good intellectual.
